What I Packed

One carry-on bag (22″x9″x14″) and one standard backpack for 11 days is all I need.

Now the real question is what to put in them… I always start with the most important, my backpack.  My pack is my life and is filled with all my essentials listed below! I keep my backpack with me in some form 7×24.  Once I arrive and check in to my hotel I will typically trim down from this pack to a smaller day-pack that made the trip in my carry-on.

My 22″ x 9″ x 14″ carry-on bag:

I pack around my 3 pair of shorts. Everything matches everything as much as possible or my ablity to match will allow.  All items are light wrinkle-resistant made from high-tech fabrics that resist wrinkles can be worn several times during a trip without looking messy or dirty (not much you can do about the smell).  One color scheme is also helpful, but not something I do.

All the items in the next section are in a sealable plastic bag, since pressure changes in flight can cause even good bottles to leak. Thanks for checking out my packing list !

  2. Mom says:

So glad you remembered the index cards!

Your packing list looks like mine. I, too, keep a list of items to take and then the next trip is easy packing. I take enough to start a pharmacy, but other things I pare down.
If you are in one place washing out clothes is easy but not if you are changing hotels every day or so.

    Have a wonderful time.

Good move adding the wife to your wish list!
